Wattle Lane

As promised, I’d like to share with you a preview of my new novel, due for release at the end of January. The House in Wattle Lane is the second book in the Wattle Lane novels. Although it includes some of the characters from the first book, Scrappy Cupcake Angels, it can be read as a stand-alone story.

So, here it is, the first chapter.

Enjoy!

The House in Wattle Lane

Chapter One

As Neave walked for the last time from the high-rise building where she had spent her weekdays for more than a decade, she felt a surge of apprehension mixed with a strange feeling of anticipation—apprehension for what the future might hold, and anticipation of a new beginning. Wild Flower Child

We’ve been adjusting to life without the internet (or with very limited internet) for several days now. It’s been…interesting… I know it’s going to take some getting used to. But the creativity hasn’t stopped. Here’s my newest upload to deviantART. If you want to know more about it, get a free digital download for personal use ONLY, or purchase a print (photo or gift-type items), then click on the photo to go to my deviantART page.

Call me a nerd if you will, but I <3 my dice.

Imagination is a wonderful thing! I hope I never lose mine. What a dark and scary place that would leave me in!

Believe it or not, my dice has saved me from many a sticky situation. Like the time I fought off a werewolf with nothing but my shield and a spiked gauntlet. Or the time I jumped onto the back of an elemental dragon and rode him across the planes. Things like this just don’t happen in our daily lives, and to me that’s saddening.

I have an over active imagination. Have had it ever since I was a kid, and when I started writing I had a million different ideas flood me at once. You know what I used to make the choices I did in my books? That’s right, my dice. And so, I offer thanks to the people who created dice, and the people who created the table top role playing games I played for so many years, without who’s influence I would be a completely different person.
