New Items Available!

Last week, I was able to add two of my favorite pieces of art to my pages on Redbubble and Society6. Please do stop by and check them out. I’m working to add most of my art and photography to the sites but it’s slow work indeed with our wonky internet.

Here are the two pieces of art now available on my pages. You can visit the pages by clicking on the link for each site in the caption under each photo. Thanks for stopping by!

Gilded Blessings

I’ve been fighting a nasty cold all week. I’m only just getting my voice back after 4 days without it. I sound like a squeaky hinge. But I have been working on more art and this is my latest. It took a total of two days work. It’s done in layers and the first layer had to dry before I could finish it with the details.

Newest Jewelry Project

As promised in an earlier post, here is a photo of my newest jewelry set. I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out and can’t wait to finish the complete outfit. It took me about 3 days to complete the whole set, minus the bracelet base. The bracelet base was created earlier and took a good chunk of time to complete. I hope you’ll enjoy the photo. The necklace is a 3-strand style with a large lobster claw clasp and created using mixed metals. (I like odd combinations for my own personal use. I see no point in creating a custom set for myself [or for anyone else, for that matter] that looks exactly like something the proverbial Jones’ would wear.) I used silver plated purchased chain, stainless steel jump rings, aqua/clear glass beads, aqua/silver/aurora matte finished glass beads, copper glass donut beads and clear/aurora matte finished glass beads. The bracelet is made of bright aluminum rings put together in a European 4-in-1 weave and has the same lobster clasp as the necklace. The earrings are odd indeed! There are three of them, as I have three holes in my ears. So two of the earrings are connected with chain. All three earrings are long, dangling from posts. I’m so excited about this set because I’ve had the moon-face beads and the matte finished aqua beads for about 2 years, not knowing what I should do with them. I’m so glad they match my dress material and I’m certain they’ll really top off my outfit extremely well.
